To Karsh a Mayor

Inspired by Yousuf Karsh, I thought I'd do a re-edit of this shot of Mayor Gregor Robertson.

Black and white photography is so appealing because it distills moments into textures. And the game that light plays on those textures is what fascinates me most about Karsh's photography.

As a first attempt, I was quite pleased with this image and I see a lot more black and white photography in my future.
